Housekeeping Assistant Manager - Accommodation

At Center Parcs all our accommodation has been designed and built to the highest standards, so we need a team to uphold these standards and exceed guest expectation. Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 800 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. That’s why it’s the largest team on each Village.

HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT MANAGER - ACCOMMODATION | circa £30,800 per annum

You will assist the housekeeping management team in the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping division, managing a team of Team Leaders and up to 90 colleagues.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the organisation and allocation of duties relating to the housekeeping cleaning operation, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained at all times.
  • Assisting with managing budgets and payroll costs to ensure all divisional targets are achieved, without compromising our level of customer care.
  • The effective recruitment and selection of housekeeping colleagues and the coordination and evaluation of training needs within the division.
  • You will support with facilitating and developing a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between 8.30am and 10pm and will include working 1 weekend out of 4. 

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements:

  • Competent using Microsoft Office
  • Sociably confident with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, develop and challenge a team
  • Team leadership experience within a demanding, service driven environment
  • Have a motivational approach towards colleagues and work
  • Empathetic and supportive approach to leading a team

Desirable requirements:

  • Willingness to undertake First Aid training and qualification
  • Customer service experience
  • Previous experience in the Cleaning and / or Hospitality industry
  • Coaches individuals to be accountable for their own performance
