Restaurant Shift Manager

A range of quality own-brand and high street restaurants and cafés, mixed with great food, family-friendly menus, and a generous sprinkling of excellent service. That’s the recipe for success in our Food and Beverage department. Around each village, the Food and Beverage department employs around 350 team members across nine different restaurants, cafés, and bars, as well as a production kitchen. There’s also a further five concessionary units including well-known brands such as Bella Italia and Café Rouge. From American grills to authentic Indian cuisine, or for those wanting a relaxing drink after a busy day, there’s something to suit all appetites at Center Parcs.

RESTAURANT SHIFT MANAGER | Circa £30,800 per annum plus tips

All colleagues working in the following restaurants: Rajinda Pradesh, Huck's American Bar and Grill, The Pancake House, Sports Café, The Lakeside Inn, Forester’s Inn and Vitalé Café Bar will benefit from the discretionary service charge we add to bills. The majority of our guests are happy to reward our colleagues for their excellent service.

As a Shift Manager, you’ll support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring every shift runs smoothly and to the highest standards. You’ll lead and motivate the team, ensuring great guest care, adherence to brand standards and effective training and coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily running of shifts, ensuring an outstanding guest experience
  • Lead and support the team, creating a positive and proactive working environment
  • Achieve budgeted shift sales targets and ensure effective colleague deployment
  • Communicate clearly with the team to maintain high service standards
  • Ensure compliance with Center Parcs’ service and brand expectations

HOURS OF WORK

We have the following contracts available on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

  • 160 hours per 4-week period - Canopy - Fully flex over 7 day rota, shifts between 9am - 8pm.
  • 160 hours per 4-week period - Sports Café - Fully flex over 7 day rota, shifts between 7am - 12am.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to build relationships with colleagues and lead the team
  • Excellent communicator
  • Naturally cheerful, patient, and friendly
  • Professional, approachable, and calm under pressure

Desirable requirements:

  • Catering / bar management experience at supervisory level
