Application Support Analyst 

Are you a dynamic, quality focussed Application Support Analyst with a thirst for knowledge who thrives in a fast paced working environment and loves working with the latest technologies?
Changeworknow has a reputation for providing leading edge online recruitment solutions. After 10 years successfully growing our client base we have recently launched a suite of new products based on Ruby on Rails.

We're looking for someone with three or more years application support experience, who'd like to join, work with and learn from our team of experts. It's a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate who is looking for a challenging and varied role.

Responsibilities

Primarily an application support role, your main responsibilities will involve assisting our Applications Support Team in troubleshooting/resolving support issues, testing new product features and deploying application updates.

In addition this role involves developing and maintaining procedures, documentation and test schedules.

We pride ourselves on providing our staff with all the tools they need to successfully execute their jobs both in hardware and software. You will thrive in an open and relaxed development area in a team of highly talented developers and designers.

Required skills

  • Excellent analysis, problem solving and communication skills
  • 3 or more years professional experience supporting commercial, browser based applications written in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, .NET, PHP or similar
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with JavaScript, AJAX. CSS and HTML
  • A passion for delivering quality solutions

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of version control systems such as SVN, Git, CVS is highly desirable
  • Experience with an issue tracking system
  • Knowledge of Linux would be an advantage
