Senior Support Worker - Lindisfarne Court

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Support Worker at Lindisfarne Court, Darlington to assist in the effective management, administration and co-ordination of the service.    

The role will entail working on shift with the team of support workers and supporting the service manager/deputy service manager with effective day to day management and leadership of the service.   

Lindisfarne Court is a purpose-built residential service that supports 13 adults with physical/learning disabilities. 

Essential Criteria:   

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in care  
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults  
  • Experience of positive behaviour support and supporting people with complex health needs  
  • Experience of developing, reviewing and updating personal care plans  
  • Experience of managing and developing staff 
  • Promote health and wellbeing in people’s lives  
  • Making everyday matter for the people we support   
  • The ability to be curious, aspirational and outcome focused  
  • Must be able to evidence effective leadership skills  
  • Working knowledge of CQC Key Lines of Enquiry  
  • Ability to motivate self and others  
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and occasional night shifts  
  • Good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office packages particularly Word and Excel  
  • A full valid driving license and use of own vehicle (Desirable)
