Estate Services Manager

We’re looking for an Estate Services (Grounds Maintenance & Cleaning Services) Manager to join our Property Services team in Bradford or Peterborough.
About the role and person:

As our Estate Services Manager, your role will involve leading a team of coordinators to ensure that successful grounds maintenance & cleaning services are provided to Accent customers. This also involves providing an aids and adaptations service to meet customers’ needs and to enable customers to continue to remain in their homes for as long as possible.
Through the successful delivery of this service, you and the team will deliver value for money whilst improving our customers’ experience and their enjoyment of their home and community. We want our people and our customers to be proud of the homes we provide, and you have a key part to play in this.
It's an exciting time to join the team as we’ve recently onboarded new suppliers and this role will play a key role in developing those relationships and facilitating effective change for our customers. Salary
The spot salary for this post is £49,751 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
You’ll also receive an additional £1,250 essential car user allowance.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be an Estate Services Manager?
- Experience of contract management, specifically in relation to grounds maintenance and cleaning services.
- To have a good understanding of varying forms and clauses within contractual documents to support effective contract management.
- Experience of service charge expenditure, costs recovery opportunities and the budget setting process.
- The ability to lead a team to achieve contract, performance, and budget management objectives.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and high performance.
- You will be able to confidently navigate difficult conversations independently to ensure positive outcomes for Accent and its customers.
- Experience of dealing with members of the public and external stakeholders such as Councillors and MPs.
- To utilise financial and performance information to robustly manage performance. Identify areas of improvement, providing solutions and implementing these promptly to ensure value for money for Accent and its customers.
- IT literacy, confident in working with Microsoft office applications and other relevant software.
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to a car for business use
This role is subject to a successful DBS check.
Location
The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our Bradford or Peterborough office. Frequent travel to other regions will be required.
We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs.
We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
Interviews
Interviews will take place over Teams on either the 10th or 13th January and will consist of a presentation and interview. Shortlisted candidates will be sent the presentation topic and will be asked to complete a behavioural report prior to the interview.
