We’re looking for a Housing Partner (Housing Officer) to join our Housing Services team in Camberley. If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference for people and communities, then this is the role for you.

Always motivated to achieve brilliant standards of service, our Housing Partners (Housing Officers) are the first point of contact for our customers.

You’ll be a visible presence in your patch, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of tenancies. Moving into a new home is an exciting life experience and your role will have a positive influence on our customer journey from the moment we onboard new tenants.

Sometimes things don’t always go to plan, so you’ll also support customers if they fall into arrears, manage anti-social behaviour utilising a multi-agency approach as required, resolve customer complaints effectively and use appropriate legal remedies to ensure tenancies are ended efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements when necessary.

You’ll develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and build strong community bonds to make moments that matter every day.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £35,626 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

You’ll also receive a regional uplift of £2,851 and an additional £1,250 essential car user allowance.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Housing Partner (Housing Officer)?

  • A proven track record of utilising a multi-agency approach to anti-social behaviour management and an understanding of the range of tools available to tackle ASB.
  • Previous customer service experience, managing complex cases and working with vulnerable people ideally in a housing context.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate resilience and the ability to deal positively with change.
  • Ability to work under pressure and driven to go the extra mile to work through challenges to achieve positive outcomes for customers.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy when handling customer data in line with GDPR.
  • Flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel, you’ll have access to a vehicle for business use.

This role is subject to a successful DBS check.

Interviews

First stage interviews will take place on Friday 10th January via Teams.

Second stage interviews will take place in person at our Camberley office on Thursday 16th January.

Location

This role involves travel to customer homes across your patch, in and around the Aldershot, Lightwater and Chobham region. You will also be required to travel to our Camberley office at least once a week.

We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage the use of working from home, as long as we meet our customer’s needs.

We’ll provide you with the equipment and software that you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
