We’re looking for a Head of Data to join our Technology, Data and Business Transformation team in Bradford or Peterborough.
About the role and person:

As our Head of Data, you’ll drive the establishment and embedding of a robust Data Analytics service within Accent. Your role will be central to delivering reliable, trustworthy Management Information (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI), ensuring data is at the core of decision-making and business strategy.

This is a greenfield opportunity to establish and drive critical data strategies from the ground up. As we lay the foundation for our data-driven future, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our data governance, data quality, data analytics, and infrastructure.
We are looking for someone who is not only a strategic thinker and a strong leader but also someone who can inspire and lead cross-functional teams. With your expertise in data governance, management, and analytics, you’ll ensure that data is effectively used to unlock business value and drive transformation.

Salary
The spot salary for this post is £85,000 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Head of Data?
- Proven experience of leading, inspiring and managing effective data analytics functions including improvement and governance.
- Demonstrable experience improving data quality with tangible outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience of creating and introducing governance, standards, practices, and methods including principles for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.
- Experience of Power BI and other associated reporting technology.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven ability to build strong, effective relationships with all levels within an organisation (technical and non-technical).
- Experience of delivering either data warehouse, data lake and data lakehouse solutions
Location
The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our Bradford or Peterborough office with travel between the sites.
We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs.
We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
Interview Process
First stage interviews will take place on the 9th and 10th January via Teams.
Candidates that are successful for second stage will be asked to complete a behavioural questionnaire.
Second stage interviews will take place at our Bradford office on the 16th January.
