Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. When we're back in the office from the end of June, we'll be working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week remotely.

IT Support Assistant

You will be a member of AEG Europe’s London Technology Operations team and based at our European Head Office, responsible for providing on-site IT support to AEG Europe and AEG Presents staff. The IT Support Assistant role forms part of a larger team that provides support for AEG Europe’s other London offices and European offices in France and Germany.

Our Technology Operations team strives for the highest standards of service, reliability and quality.  You will work collaboratively with our customers, systems suppliers and IT staff to enhance and exploit our systems further.  Your work will enable AEG Europe staff in all departments to work more effectively, allowing them to increase revenue.

You will: 

  • Provide first and second line IT Support services to AEG Europe and AEG Presents staff working in our London and European offices.
  • Handle and promptly log incoming Service Desk requests (via email, telephone or in-person) accurately in the Service Desk system, resolving them where possible or escalating them to the Technology Manager or other colleague for further support.
  • Take ownership of Service Desk requests allocated to you and ensure that they are resolved in the most efficient manner, providing regular updates on the progress of Service Desk requests to the staff who have logged them.
  • Undertake physical duties such as lifting, moving and loading items of equipment, including moving IT equipment between office desks and the setting up of new user hardware to an agreed specification.
  • Undertake day-to-day maintenance and checks of the IT infrastructure, including printers, telephony and meeting room audio-visual systems as defined by the Technology Manager.
  • Image and deploy new or existing user workstations, maintaining an available stock level of all workstation types.
  • Maintain documentation of our hardware inventory on an on-going basis.
  • Be proactive in ordering equipment and replacement parts for items or areas that you maintain.
  • Oversee any breakdown of equipment and ensure that they are repaired or reported accordingly.
  • Respond to out-of-hours IT issues when on call.

We’re looking for someone with experience of providing support to end users using Windows 7, Windows 10 and Mac OS X. You’ll be able to logically troubleshoot issues with desktops and laptop hardware, including printers and audio-visual equipment.

If you have experience supporting Microsoft 365, including OneDrive and Teams; and of working with core Microsoft technologies in an enterprise environment, such as Windows Active Directory, that would be advantageous.

You’ll be a a self-starter, who I solutions focused and able to use their initiative.

With the ability to form good, effective working relationships with all levels of staff; you’ll have a record of producing accurate detailed reports, being exceptionally organised; and pay attention to detail even when working under pressure.

Where: You’ll be based at our head office Almack House 28 King St, St. James's, London SW1Y 6QW but we are currently working remotely. When we're back in the office from the end of June, we'll be working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week remotely. We offer flexible start and end times and also welcome flexible working conversations.

Important information: First stage interviews will be held virtually via MS Teams on 22-24 June 2021 and we’re looking for someone to be able to join the team in July.
