Commercial Manager - The SSE Arena, Wembley

Managed by AEG Facilities (UK) Ltd, and part of a winning partnership with SSE and Wembley Park, The SSE Arena, Wembley is one of the UK’s most iconic entertainment venues. The venue reopened in 2006 after a £35 million refurbishment with state of the art facilities, a flexible capacity up to 12,500 and is now at the centre of Wembley Park, one of London’s biggest development projects, with designer outlet, shops/restaurants, residential units and a new park all open or planned.


The SSE Arena, Wembley is globally known as a live music venue, and also hosts a wide range of family entertainment, comedy, sporting events and major televised events.


The SSE Arena, Wembley is now recruiting a Commercial Manager to join their management team.


You will be accountable for driving and directing sales of ancillary income, with main focus on F&B, merchandise, lounge upgrades, off-manifest sales and car parking for all events.


You will maximise return from in-house primary ticketing activity (via sell through, booking fees, facility fees); and from investment in digital assets (such as venue app, digital menu screens, concourse/gable end/auditorium screens).


You will responsible for the contract management for in-house revenue generating partners (Levys for F&B and National Merchandise) and work closely with the Global Partnerships and Premium Seating teams to maximise partner income, investment and retention. You will also implement a strategic sales plan for corporate events and other non-core opportunities at The SSE Arena, Wembley.



We are looking for someone with previous relevant experience within a venue or event sales environment, who also has relevant corporate event sales experience.


With the ability to recognise and deliver on commercial opportunities for a wide range of events; you will be a confident communicator with a strong track record in building good internal and external working relationships across diverse business areas and functions.


You will have strong Microsoft office skills particularly Excel and PowerPoint; be committed and flexible in your approach to work and able to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise work.
