Salary: £30,284.00 per annum, increasing to £35,628.00 on successful completion of 3 months’ probation
Hours of work: 42 hours per week, shift work: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off
MBNA Thames Clippers, part of AEG Europe, are the fastest and most frequent fleet on the river. As London's leading River Bus service, the fleet of high speed catamarans provide commuters and sightseers with a unique way to travel around the capital. We carry around 4 million passengers a year and employ over 320 staff.
We are now recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join the team who maintain and service the fleet of 15 Thames Clipper vessels.
You will ensure that all Thames Clippers vessels electrical systems are fully safety checked in line with the company and statutory legislation and also ensure all Thames Clippers craft are kept in service wherever possible, by ensuring effective and efficient maintenance is carried out at all times by prioritizing maintenance where possible during quieter periods.
You will carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on vessels as required and work as part of a full engineering team, ensuring that all work carried out is recorded and reported accurately, following the necessary guidelines.
We are looking for a qualified electrician (240v) who has relevant working experience of 12V, 24V, 415V 3-phase systems.
You need to be flexible and available to work varying shift patterns and also must enjoy working in a busy environment and be able to maintain patience and empathy even when under pressure.
A team worker with a positive attitude to work, you will be an effective communicator and able to manage and prioritise a varying workload.
