MBNA Thames Clippers, part of AEG Europe, are the fastest and most frequent fleet on the river. As London's leading River Bus service, the fleet of high speed catamarans provide commuters and sightseers with a unique way to travel around the capital. We carry around 4 million passengers a year and employ over 320 staff.
We are recruiting for a Sales Manager to join our friendly and professional team at Clipper House, in Trinity Buoy Wharf.
You will implement and manage the business’ sales strategy and meeting/exceeding of sales targets; manage and maintain our Travel Trade accounts, in addition to developing new business opportunities within the market, focusing on maximising revenue and passenger yield.
You will create, maintain and enhance strong relationships with travel agents, tour companies and other trade partners and design relevant packages/joint tickets with these partners to deliver increased sales and new business.
Attending Travel Trade events and conferences and making relevant contacts and representing MBNA Thames Clippers at these events is key, along with attending Golden Keys meetings regularly to develop, maintain and enhance relationships within the concierge and hotel market.
We are looking for someone with strong sales skills and relevant experience ideally gained in the visitor attraction or travel trade sectors.
With a proven Track record for building and managing relationships that increase revenue you will be a self-starter with the ability to use your own initiative.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to use this effectively to network both internally and externally
The ability to work flexibly as part of a team is a must as is a commitment to providing customer service of the highest standard.
You will have the ability to prioritise and manage a variable workload and possess excellent IT skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Office packages.
