Age UK North Tyneside is seeking an experienced, passionate and values-driven Wellbeing Centre Manager to lead the delivery and development of our vibrant Wellbeing Centres.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping services that help older people stay active, independent and connected within their communities. Working closely with the Executive Director of Charity Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of service delivery, ensuring our centres remain welcoming, inclusive and sustainable places where older people can thrive.
As Wellbeing Centre Manager, you will oversee high-quality wellbeing services across multiple sites, leading dedicated teams of staff, volunteers and students while driving exceptional customer experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop innovative and engaging programmes, strengthen community and healthcare partnerships, manage operational performance and contribute to the future growth and sustainability of our wellbeing services.

About the Role
As Wellbeing Centre Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation and strategic development of our Wellbeing Centres, ensuring customers receive high-quality, person-centred services that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection.
Working closely with customers, families, healthcare professionals, community organisations and colleagues across the charity, you will help create welcoming environments where older people feel supported, valued and empowered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery and ongoing development of wellbeing services across multiple centres.
- Managing budgets, financial controls and service performance to ensure sustainability and value for money.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, quality standards and organisational policies.
- Leading, motivating and developing staff, volunteers and students to deliver exceptional services.
- Managing recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals and performance management processes.
- Developing and delivering engaging wellbeing programmes that meet the needs of a diverse customer base.
- Assessing customer needs and supporting the development of personalised wellbeing plans.
- Building strong relationships with community groups, healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
- Promoting services and increasing referrals to support future growth and sustainability.
- Monitoring outcomes and driving continuous improvement across all areas of service delivery.
- Contributing to the strategic direction and future development of Wellbeing Centre services.
- Creating a positive and inclusive culture where both customers and colleagues can flourish.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of older people, developing teams and delivering outstanding services.
You will have:
- Proven management experience within a health, social care, wellbeing or community setting.
- Experience leading, motivating and developing teams, including staff and volunteers.
- Strong operational management skills, including budgeting, compliance and service delivery.
- Experience managing performance and driving continuous service improvement.
- A person-centred approach that promotes dignity, independence and choice.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to build effective partnerships and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.
