Activities Coordinator

Pavilion Court are currently looking an Activities Coordinator, we pride ourselves her on being able to offer a varied activities programme of events – from organised hobbies, fun things to do, trips out or a spontaneous game of bingo! Being an Activities Co-Ordinator is an integral part of what we do by helping enrich our residents lives and staying active.  This is a fun and immensely rewarding role that promotes socialising and enhances wellbeing.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about making people happy, you will be the sort of person who likes to get to know people so that activities can be personalised. Parts of this role will be challenging so it is vital that you are patient and kind.

Being activities coordinator is vital role that plays a huge part in our resident’s happiness and engagement.

You don’t need experience in a similar role, but if you have the skills, the right attitude and the desire to make a difference to people’s lives please do get in touch!

Most our residents grew up in this area, as did our staff, and that gives us a huge advantage, both when residents first arrive and as we try to build close relationships with them.  When you’re gaining people’s trust it’s that much easier if you can talk about people and places that you both know.

We have lovely gardens here at Pavilion Court.  We have verandas on the first floor and two large lounges, so there’s plenty of opportunity for residents and staff to relax and have a natter. And when the residents are not doing that, we have a wide range of activities, such as a gardening club, baking, quizzes and knit n natter.  We have mini ponies come in, and we also have a strong link with a cat and dog shelter, which regularly brings pets in.  One of our residents is a handyman, so he’s sanding down and painting some chairs, and loving every minute!

What we will offer you in return!

  • A competitive starting salary with the opportunity to increase this through training and development
  • We cover the cost of your DBS check (£44)
  • Uniform provided
  • 28 days annual leave, based on full time hours (Bank Holidays included)
