The Role

In our Clinical Lead, we look for people who are experienced in senior positions within a nursing care setting and are familiar with regulations and legislation.


As part of our leadership team in the home, you will work closely with the Registered Home Manager, being responsible for:

  • Maintaining clients Care records
  • Dispensing, ordering and auditing medication
  • Supervising, mentoring and developing the team
  • Assisting with day to day management of home
  • Actively marketing the home in a positive manner
  • Act as a role model to the nursing team within the designated clinical area.
  • Promote and demonstrate the standards of care and behaviour expected, driving a professional and courteous culture and ensuring best practice.
  • Line Management tasks such as sickness and absence management, disciplinary and grievance and recruitment and selection.


What we need from you:

  • Hold an NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) certificate with active PIN
  • You have a minimum of a Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and have, or be willing, to work towards the Leadership and Management Award
  • Experience of working in the health care sector, ideally in a care home environment
  • Be driven, motivated and believe in quality of care
  • Possess strong leadership and management qualities whilst taking on a dynamic and flexible approach to the role

Moorfield House Care Home is situated in a pleasant, leafy suburb to the south of Newcastle, on the edge of Town Moor.  It is a small Home with a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Many of our team have worked at Moorfield for a long time, which helps us to maintain a consistently high level of service for our residents, fostering long term and meaningful relationships with their families and friends.

We believe that our residents should remain as physically and mentally active as possible, so we encourage them to participate in a variety of activities.
