Disputes Associate or Senior Associate (4+ PQE) – Any Office

The Team

Our Dispute Resolution team is recognised nationally and internationally with several Leading Individuals who work with our clients whose business becomes involved in a dispute.  The team advise and represent clients across a full range of matters are with particular expertise in commercial / contract disputes, commercial landlord and tenant disputes, commercial property disputes, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, insolvency litigation, professional negligence claims, construction litigation, adjudication and arbitration and debt recovery

The Role

Our ideal candidate will be an Associate or Senior Associate within a similar practice or looking to make a move to a role of that seniority. You are likely to have at least four years’ experience (or equivalent, dealing with a varied caseload of Dispute Resolution matters.  You will have excellent technical knowledge and the ability to build strong client relationships. This particular role will see you working in civil and commercial disputes, with your own case load of matters and working in support of partners in the team. Experience of supervising more junior colleagues whilst not essential would be an advantage.

Knowledge, skills and experience required 

As well as your dispute resolution experience, you will have the ability to:

  • conduct meetings and interviews with clients
  • assess legal issues and advise clients accordingly
  • advise on costs (including the preparation of Letters of Engagement)
  • conduct legal research
  • draft documents and letters
  • attend internal and external courses as required
  • keep up to date with law and practice
  • assist in the development of long-term client relationships
  • attend business development activities on behalf of the Dispute Resolution Team (as required), on behalf of the firm
