Business Support Assistant

A new business support role has arisen for individuals to join our expanding business.

Due to growth, we are creating a new business support team, and we are looking for motivated individuals to join this team, and provide a range of support services to our entire business. The role has 3 main aspects:

  1. Customer facing support - answering phones, reviewing emails requests, and resolving staff and parent queries.
  2. Back office support - updating systems, updating menu information etc.
  3. Moving calls to other support teams e.g. IT, Finance, Sales

Role Information

  • Up to £20,000 per year
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Part-time applicants also welcome
  • 25 Days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities

  • Take phone calls from staff and external customers, capture their issue, and resolve it where possible, or pass it to other support teams.
  • Update the menus on our meal ordering system.
  • Update the core information in other systems in response to various requests.
  • Deal with 3rd party service providers e.g. company vehicles, office supplies etc.
  • The range of responsibilities and support activities will grow as the team develops.

Person Requirements

  • Good personal communication skills, both on the phone and face-to-face.
  • Attention to detail when entering information into systems.
  • Flexibility and ability to switch quickly between tasks to meet the needs of the business.
  • The ability to identify and help implement improvements to our systems.
  • The ability to effectively manage workloads, working as a part of the team, or on your own initiative.
  • The role will be predominantly based in the Worcester Support Centre, with some work from home.
