Audley have an exciting new opportunity for a Sous Chef at the luxury property based in Tunbridge Wells, Willicombe park!

You will work closely with our talented head chef and manage the kitchen in their absence. If you are looking for a step up in your career to develop your skills, then we can provide relevant training, development and support to allow for further growth.

From involvement with budgets, to ordering stock, and kitchen management we will help you to develop your career as a successful chef. All food is prepared in our professional kitchens, using fresh and seasonal ingredients to create well presented and fantastic food!

This position will initially be based on a 30 hour contract, however there is scope in the new year for a full time position. 

Set in four acres of gardens in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Audley Willicombe Park has sixty seven penthouses, apartments and cottages. At the heart of the village is Willicombe House, a refurbished Victorian villa.


  • Directs food preparation and collaborate with Head Chef
  • Help in the design of food and drink menu for events and functions
  • Produce high quality plates, including both design and taste.
  • Assists with inventory, and management of supplies.
  • Ensure that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition.
  • Keep stations clean and comply with food safety standards.
  • Order food supplies.
  • Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment

Skills and Experience:

• Experience of stock ordering
• Good level of culinary knowledge
• Positive attitude
• Previous experience cooking for people with strict dietary requirements
