Salary: £18180 Pro Rata (£9090 Actual)

Receptionist - St Christopher's School (6 month contract)

We are looking for a well organised receptionist to be the welcoming face of Aurora St Christopher's. Based on reception, this is a varied role, you will meet and greet visitors in a pleasant and welcoming manner. You will provide a friendly and helpful telephone service ensuring all calls are answered.

As part of a friendly support Team the receptionist is a key staff member and will assist with the smooth running of the front of office this will include administrative tasks. A flair for managing multiple tasks whilst remaining professional, calm and efficient at all times will be required of this busy role where no 2 days are the same.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Answer all calls in a timely manner and refer calls to the Colleague best placed to answer the query 
  • Meet and greet all visitors and ensure visitor log is updated 
  • Ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and welcoming
  • Copy, collate and distribute documents 
  • Maintaining, updating and sorting and retrieving a range of records/ statistical data, including monitoring and ordering of stationery and office supplies
  • Collecting and distributing documents/ correspondence to and from the correct internal destination
  • Support senior members of staff and colleagues with administration tasks
  • Accurate filing, indexing of work
  • Maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, local authorities and the community
  • Undertake any other additional duties 

Skills and Experience 

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 
  • demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role 
  • Computer literate - able to use Outlook, Excel, Word, and ability to use databases once trained
  • Well organised with excellent time management
  • Able to prioritise, manage own time and deal with multiple tasks
  • Must be able to work as part of team 
  • Discreet, confidential and reliable
