Our Planning Teams manage the spectrum of areas of the planning system on behalf of the Company. In an ever-changing planning environment, our teams have experience in influencing the formation of planning policy, strategic land promotion, handling the development management process and implementing community engagement strategies.

Depending on the position within the team, you may be working on the identification of future land acquisition opportunities, devising planning strategies, managing consultant development teams, drafting the statements required for the submission of planning applications and delivering immediate or long term planning projects on a variety of scales. As part of this process, you will be involved in partnership working and liaison with a variety of planning authorities, local stakeholders and local residents.

 

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

This role will immerse you in a fast paced business with a vast variety of planning based projects. You will be an enthusiastic and career minded individual with an understanding of residential planning and able to work closely with an experienced Planning Manager. You are required to support the planning function across the Division working on assessments of new land opportunities, evolving appropriate promotion strategies, supporting the co-ordination of planning submissions, participating in community engagement, project managing external consultants and agents, managing and monitoring planning obligations, and supporting the compliance with planning conditions.

 

WHAT WILL I BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

You will work closely with our land, design and technical teams on a day-to-day basis.  You will support a significant portfolio of sites both with and without planning permission, and to build up good relationships with a wide number of local planning authorities.  Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
