Administrator - Commercial Department

Depending on the role, the Administration function could be supporting professionals out in the field, or supplying sites and customers with a steady flow of information. You might be dealing with customer queries, or helping employees with issues. But while the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t; you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business. 

 

 

Department:  Commercial

 

Responsible to: The Commercial Manager

 

Main purpose of role:  To provide support and assist the Commercial Team

 

Main duties:

  • Raise one line orders
  • Complete subcontract payments
  • Letters for Contra Charges
  • Set up new subcontract accounts
  • Raising ‘notice to withhold payments’ letters
  • Payment filing in date order
  • Chase subcontractors for return of prices
  • Update analysis sheets with quotes and cost plan information
  • Collate site development & preliminary information
  • General duties as required

 

Personal qualities & skills required: 

Numeracy, analytical and good reporting skills.

 

Education/training: 

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

 

Work experience: 

Basic administration. Knowledge of the construction industry and Coins would be an advantage.
