Group Finance Accounts Administrator

Summary of Role

As Group Finance Accounts Administrator, you will maintain the Groups database for supplier and sub-contract accounts and assist in the process of the Groups purchase and ledger payments.

What Will I Be Responsible For?

  • Creating suppliers and subcontractors on the central database when requested by divisions
  • Entering subcontract insurances and schemes ensuring the Group’s policies are adhered to
  • Ensuring all data entry is completed within deadlines
  • Approving invoices for payment ensuring payment totals are correct
  • Completing statement reconciliations at month end
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers, subcontractors, regional surveyors, buyers and accountants
  • General admin, e.g. filing, photocopying, post handling
  • Assisting with ad hoc analysis or other appropriate admin duties as and when required

Personal Characteristics/Qualifications/Experience

  • IT literate, with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Numerate, with good organisation and administration skills
  • Self-disciplined, with demonstrably good time management skills and the ability to manage a number of priorities
  • Able to multi-task, and work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Team player, supportive of departmental colleagues
  • Professional and pleasant manner in dealing with internal and external customers
