Senior Systems Design and Delivery Lead

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design & Technical, HR, Health & Safety, IT, Sales & Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function - Barratt Partnerships.

Summary of the Role:

As the Senior System Design & Delivery Lead you will provide leadership for the TM1 development function within the Group Finance Systems team ensuring the delivery of high quality projects and the efficient resolution of technical issues in relation to all live models.

In this role you will provide technical expertise on solution design and architecture as well as overseeing the development, testing, training and support processes relating to the release of new functionality. 

What Will I Be Responsible For?

  • Responsible for the delivery and design team.
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of all reporting and forecasting solutions required by the business.
  • Manage technical design specifications and documents.
  • Manage complex processes for both new and existing functionality.
  • Manage and communicate risk assessments pertaining to new functionality and enhancements.
  • Review technical administrative documentation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot escalated system support issues.
  • Support of financial applications on full life cycle projects is essential.
  • Ensure industry best practices are adopted and adhered to when designing and implementing new functionality to the business
  • Provide end user training for TM1 front end functionality.
  • Oversee the resolution of issues with software providers

  • Ability to work dynamically in both team and independent environments is necessary
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the business
  • Strong understanding of IT terms and concepts is required
  • Part qualified/qualified accountant an advantage
  • Pragmatic problem solver
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of system knowledge – TM1/COINS/JIRA/Excel
  • Strong delivery & design project management skills
  • Have a high degree of integrity.
  • A good degree of commercial awareness
  • Be a coach and mentor to members of staff.
