To contribute to the overall success of the business, through supporting the Finance Manager and working effectively within the Finance team.


        Role and Responsibilities:

  • Production of the monthly management accounts in accordance with the group timetable. This will include month end journals, control reconciliations and analytical review of the Profit and Loss and Balance sheet.
  • Ownership of the Balance sheet reconciliation file including detailed analysis of the Land and WIP sections.
  • Month end financial reporting of land statistics, lazy assets, planning and sales performance.
  • Assist with accurate and robust forecasting and planning in line with Regional requirements.
  • Support payment processing to ensure an accurate and timely service, using the Group systems.
  • Effective management and development of the Assistant Accountant.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests for the division.
  • Ad hoc finance tasks.
  • Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures.


    Personal characteristics / qualifications and skills:

  • CIMA, Part Qualified accountant (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a finance department and able to demonstrate having a key role/s in the production of management accounts and month end reporting.
  • Self-motivated with a drive and tenacity to achieve targets and deadlines.
  • Highly numerate with strong IT and financial analysis skills, coupled with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business.
  • Experience of managing budgets/cost control, and planning and organising work to meet targets.
  • Able and willing to contribute a professional opinion.
  • Self-confident, decisive, resilient and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
