As a Falls Prevention/Strength & Balance Instructor you’ll be providing expert, group exercise classes to an excellent standard, supporting our customer within the region to help them to achieve and take part in class exercise in a safe and fun way. 

Instructor Responsibilities:

  • To deliver effective exercise classes for older adults using recognised exercise guidelines.
  • To adhere to Brio’s quality falls prevention programme.
  • Assess and interpret clinical information regarding referred clients whilst maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
  • Undertake confidential health screening for all referred clients. Ensure that programmes are progressive and reflective of the needs of the client.
  • Establish good rapport and relationships with clients to enhance participation and the involvement in the programme.
  • Manage client relationships with professionalism whilst being discreet and sensitive to their needs.
  • Assist management in monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of the programme.
  • To carry out various admin/promotional duties as required by the line manager. (2 hours admin has been provided within the role).
  • Work with partners to increase awareness of the programme.
  • Support management with co-ordination of the programme.
  • You will be required to deliver across the borough.
  • Must be flexible to suit business needs.

Qualification & Training required:

  • Must hold a level 3 Exercise on Referral Qualification (Essential).
  • Hold a recognised falls/strength and balance qualification (Desirable).
