As a Healthcare Assistant you will play an active part to assist the clinical and non-clinical team to provide a high standard of care to patients undergoing fertility investigations and treatment. You will be hands- on by assisting with the monitoring of treatment cycles. You also work with lots of internal colleagues including liaising with medical, nursing, ultrasound, scientific and secretarial staff.

You will be an integral part of a passionate team that strives to further develop and research leading fertility practices to give everyone one the best chance of having a baby.

The Role

  • Assist the clinical and non-clinical team to provide a high standard of care to patients undergoing fertility investigations and treatment
  • Maintain effective communication with both patients and colleagues to ensure an excellent patient journey
  • Undertake phlebotomy i.e. take blood samples from patients according to CARE protocols
  • Assist with the taking of patient’s height, weight and blood pressures
  • Contribute to internal and external audits and inspection
  • Maintain patient/ clinic records and book appointments
  • Work within legislative and policy guidelines

Who you are

  • Qualified to GCSE standard
  • Proven customer service experience ideally within a hospital or clinic
  • The ability to communicate well with colleagues and patients
  • Excellent verbal and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Self- starter
  • Act as a CARE Fertility ambassador
  • A desire for continuous personal and professional development attending appropriately identified courses and conferences
