Bank Fertility Nurse / Fertility Midwife

As a Bank Fertility Nurse, you will be responsible for meeting the individual needs of patients and their partners attending our respected clinic. You will work with patients and colleagues in out-patient and in-patient areas  depending on your skills and competencies. You will be an integral part of our bank team that strives to offer our patients the best chance of having a baby.

We offer unrivalled flexibility and this is an excellent role in which to join the CARE Fertility team.

The Role

  • Perform venepuncture
  • Prepare and assist in the theatre
  • Recover patients following their procedure under sedation and work on the ward
  • Teach patients how to inject drugs
  • Obtain patient consent for treatment
  • Deal with telephone queries from patients

Who you are

Great team player? Real people person? Someone who loves helping others? As well as being passionate about patient care, you’ll need the following skills:

  • A registered nurse or midwife
  • Essential to have post registration experience working within an acute hospital setting / Women’s health area
  • A genuine interest in the speciality with ideally experience within fertility
  • Excellent verbal, numerical and IT skills
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
