Do you crave variety, satisfaction and purpose at work?
This is a really varied and wide-ranging role – it has everything from supporting nurses, midwives and the wider clinic teams in the coordination of treatments to patients while making sure they can have the best possible experience they can receive.
You’ll talk to patients and support them throughout their treatment journey, provide them with information, resolving any queries or problems. You’ll provide emotional support to them using empathy and understanding, and if you need to, signpost them to our counselling support services.
You’ll support patients’ consultations with general healthcare duties such as taking their height, weight and blood pressure - you’ll even be trained to perform phlebotomy (take blood samples from patients). You’ll also support the nursing team with preparing the Procedure Room, assisting with procedures and the recovery of patients following sedation.
We have a diverse range of patients who have a diverse range of needs, at CARE we have an inclusive approach and embrace diversity.
There is administration in this role - but it’s not purely administration, you’ll need to accurately input data, find information on the clinical patient database and follow the system pathways to ensure patient record are accurate.
If you’ve been a Healthcare Assistant, or have worked in administration in a clinical environment then that would be ideal; because then you’ll really understand this role. You may have worked as a career for elderly or vulnerable where you’ve supported with medication, you may have delivered patient treatments in a cosmetic setting. In addition to this you’re flexible, eager to learn, are able to work alone, you have a strong understanding of delivering excellence for people, written and verbal, with accuracy and in a timely fashion. We’re looking for great team players with a desire for continuous personal and professional development.
Attention to detail cannot be stressed enough, this is a medical environment and mistakes are not just extremely costly to everybody involved, they can be dangerous.
Excellent communication is required as you’ll be dealing with people from all backgrounds, making In and outbound calls where needed, delivering a high-quality patient experience – you’re acting as a CARE Fertility ambassador in all of your interactions.
