Campaign Coordinator - Havant Constituency
We are seeking to appoint a Campaign Coordinator on a one‑year fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of extension for a further year, to support campaigning activity within the Havant Constituency in south Hampshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, confident and motivated individual who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
A large part of this role centres on working closely with volunteers, so strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, lasting relationships are essential. Campaign priorities can change quickly, so you’ll also need to be adaptable, proactive and comfortable managing a varied workload. Experience in a similar role with an understanding of politics is essential.
As the role is based in Havant, applicants should either be locally based or able to commit to relocating to the area. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is a must, as you will be travelling to campaign sessions, community events and volunteer activities across the constituency.
What will you do as a Campaign Coordinator?
No two days look the same but you can expect to:
- Recruit, coordinate and motivate volunteers, ensuring they feel valued, informed and supported.
- Build strong working relationships with local stakeholders, including councillors and Member of Parliament teams.
- Organise and deliver campaign activities, from door‑to‑door canvassing sessions to community events.
- Create and maintain effective communication channels with volunteers, keeping them engaged and up to date on campaign plans.
- Support the creation of campaign materials, including leaflets and local social media content.
- Assist in developing local social media channels to increase reach across the community.
- Help deliver a structured voter‑contact programme, both in person and by phone.
- Ensure Election Day / Polling Day operations run smoothly, coordinating volunteers and logistics.
What skills do you need to be a Campaign Coordinator?
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Strong people skills and the ability to inspire, support and retain volunteers.
- Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication.
- A self‑starting attitude and the ability to take initiative.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Flexibility and resilience in a changing environment.
- As this role is political in nature, applicants must have a demonstrable commitment to the aims and objectives of The Conservative Party.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we encourage you to apply.
And if you’re unsure whether you meet every requirement, don’t rule yourself out - send in your application and let us consider it.
