National Digital Campaign Manager - Essex

As a key member of the Campaigns team, embedded within the field operation, the National Digital Campaign Manager based in Essex will be responsible for setting and delivering the digital strategy across their assigned region. Working closely with Regional Campaign Managers, Heads of Field and the Head of Digital Campaigning, this role ensures that the Conservative Party’s messages are communicated creatively, effectively and persuasively to voters through digital channels.

This role focuses on finding new and innovative ways to engage target audiences — using high-impact content, data-led tactics and platform-specific strategies to drive voter awareness, support and action. The postholder leads on translating national messaging into compelling local digital campaigns, tailored to reflect regional priorities and voices.

Alongside some content production, the role is also responsible for raising the digital capability of campaign teams across the region — training candidates, councillors, MPs and activists, and embedding tools, skills and strategies that enable strong local campaigning both now and in future elections.

Success of the role will be evaluated on:

  • The strategic effectiveness and originality of digital campaign activity delivered across the region.
  • Growth in online reach and engagement with local audiences across platforms.
  • The impact and relevance of digital content in advancing campaign objectives.
  • Strong collaboration with the Regional Campaign Manager to align digital with overall field campaigning.
  • The development and upskilling of local campaign teams in digital techniques and tools.
  • The role digital campaigning plays in delivering local electoral success and reinforcing national messaging.
