Membership Growth Officer

We are looking for candidates with extremely strong communication and organisational skills to help deliver a range of membership growth initiatives across the Party. This role is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Role responsibilities

  • Lead on the delivery of priority membership growth initiatives.
  • Identify additional initiatives in conjunction with the membership services team and the wider voluntary party.
  • Align with the Director, Conservative Movement on key metrics for each initiative and generate reports to track progress against these.
  • Identify qualified volunteers and train them up to support recruitment and retention activities.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required by the needs of the team and the Party.
  • Provide holiday cover for other members of the team in accordance with the holiday cover schedule.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Keep any professional qualifications up to date. 

This role will require flexibility across the organisation, and a willingness to get involved in other roles or functions where additional support is needed at any time.

Professional experience and qualifications

  • Proven experience of working in a mass membership organisation (either in a voluntary or professional capacity) on membership growth initiatives.

Skills required

  • Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a clear dedication to protecting sensitive information.
  • Good ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to problems and opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to organise and prioritise a demanding workload personally.
  • A personal commitment to the values of the Conservative Party (with a preference for an existing party member) and drive for the Party to succeed.
