Insights Analyst & Report Writer
This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract designed to provide comprehensive support to the policy development programme of work. The role focuses on collating, coordinating and analysing policy-related submissions from multiple channels, including identifying high value contributions to ensure these are incorporated into briefing packs for committees and senior Party members. This role requires a mix of analytical expertise, strong writing skills, and a proactive mindset to leverage available tools, making qualitative data analysis and reporting as efficient as possible, whilst ensuring high-quality, actionable insights are provided. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-driven individual who generates genuine insights to support the policy programme. This role requires a deep commitment to advancing policy development priorities, along with a demonstrated capacity to think critically, adapt swiftly, and communicate policy submission themes effectively.

Role responsibilities |
1. Insights Analysis: · Analyse qualitative data from website and email submissions · Organise and categorise data · Identify patterns, trends, and emerging themes within the data · Perform thematic analysis and interpret qualitative findings in context 2. Reporting & Documentation: · Write clear, concise, and comprehensive reports that summarise key insights · Present findings in a way that is accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders · Include relevant visuals (charts, graphs, quotes) to support findings and make reports engaging · Continuously improve the reporting approach by responding to feedback and revised requirements and requests · Actively contribute ideas to make the overall process more efficient, innovative, and scalable. 3. Quality Assurance: · Ensure the integrity and consistency of data analysis through careful review and validation · Maintain a strong understanding of best practices in qualitative research methods and data analysis Other · Assist with ad-hoc projects as required by the needs of the team and the Party. · Provide holiday cover for other members of the team in accordance with the holiday cover schedule. · Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders. · Keep any professional qualifications up to date. This role will require flexibility across the organisation, and a willingness to get involved in other roles or functions where additional support is needed at any time.

Professional experience and qualifications |
· Proven experience in analysing qualitative data (e.g. thematic analysis) in a relevant industry · Strong writing and communication skills with a focus on summarising technical concepts · Familiarity with qualitative data analysis software is a plus · Prior political experience not essential however a sound knowledge of public policy and portfolio areas is necessary |
