The Communications team undertakes proactive communications, to maintain confidence in, and enhance the reputation of, CDC’s work. We have responsibility for both internal and external communications.
CDC’s role and significance as a development finance institution has grown significantly in the last few years and will continue to grow through to 2021. This is reflected not only in our growing employee base and our growing balance sheet, it is also reflected in our 2017 – 2021 Strategic Framework which sets out a clear ambition for CDC to become a thought leader on private sector development.
We have been encouraging our employees to share more of their expertise internally on our intranet. We now want to find efficient and creative ways to share this work, both internally and externally and using all channels, including a new external website, as part of our ambition to be a thought leader. Areas where we want to share expertise include private sector development, as well as strategic priorities including mobilising private sector capital to Africa and South Asia, women’s economic empowerment and climate change. This role will help us to achieve that.

Develop content for external meetings, including briefings and presentations.

Work with colleagues to gather statistics and data for use in corporate communications materials.
Support colleagues across the organisation to ensure that our corporate brand and identity is used consistently and appropriately.
