In this role you will manage a team of Forest Rangers, Conservation Rangers and Grounds Assistants, ensuring the smooth running and control of the Ground Services department with direct reference to operating standards, Company Landscape Strategy, Forest Management plans and the department Planned Maintenance Programme.

Other responsibilities will include working closely with the Landscape Asset Manager, Consultants and Contractors to ensure that all aspects relating to forestry, biodiversity and ecology are managed in accordance with our commitments.

The ideal candidate must have experience of management responsibility in a Ground / Landscape role and have a recognised and relevant qualification in horticulture at a minimum of level 3, or hold further qualifications specific to a landscape discipline, e.g. Forest Management, Country Side Management etc.


You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period.  This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.    

You will be required to work 1 out of 4 weekends.  As our Village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and working during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.


Essential requirements:

  • Experience in a supervisory role within the horticulture industry.
  • Minimum of City and Guilds Phase I to III or equivalent NVQ3 at Credit Level in Amenity Horticulture.
