Set in hundreds of acres of beautiful forest, our new Center Parcs resort – Longford Forest - will welcome 250,000 guests each year, providing the very best facilities and activities. ABOUT THE ROLE
With up to 100 indoor and outdoor activities available, Center Parcs is the perfect place for families to try something new together. The Leisure team plays a key role in ensuring families feel confident, safe and happy during their activity, whatever their age or ability and your role will be central to the process.
It’s a very diverse and interesting role whereby, reporting to the General Activities Manager, you’ll support with the commercial management and day to day operational duties for the Activities programme – this includes; The Activity Den, Children’s Activities, Sports Activities and the Nature Programme.
Day to day, this will involve maximising opportunities by looking closely at demand and capacity, and working with the department Manager to drive occupancy of facilities and activities available to guests.
Prior to the village opening you’ll be involved in training the Activities team, ensuring all are appropriately skilled and ready to greet our first guests in preparation for the successful opening of Longford Forest in summer 2019.
Previous supervisory experience is essential, as you will be responsible for motivating and developing team members working across all the General Activities areas.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills and high standards of guest care.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to apply for Garda Vetting. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period, on a flexible basis. During the pre-opening period it is anticipated that your hours of work will generally be Monday – Friday office hours.
Once the village is operational your working hours will include some weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis, with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
There will be the requirement to travel to the UK to undertake initial training on commencement of this role.
