Assistant Manager Housekeeping

At Center Parcs all our accommodation has been designed and built to the highest standards, so we need a team to uphold these standards and exceed guest expectation. Our Housekeeping team will be responsible for maintaining more than 460 Lodges, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces.

Duties and responsibilities:

In this role you will assist the Housekeeping management team in the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping division, managing a team of Supervisors and a large team of colleagues. This varied and diverse role will include:

  • Assisting with the organisation and allocation of duties relating to the housekeeping cleaning operation, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved and maintained at all times
  • Assisting with managing budgets and payroll costs to ensure all divisional targets are achieved, without compromising our level of customer care
  • The effective recruitment and selection of housekeeping colleagues and the coordination and evaluation of training needs within the division
  • The general welfare, motivation and development of direct reports, including the monitoring of standards in line with company policy


Essential requirements: 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ previous supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills with an organised and methodical approach
  • Strong motivational skills
  • Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience of managing large teams of people
  • Possess a management or cleaning qualification or be willing to develop to this level 


You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. 

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis, with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
