Set in hundreds of acres of beautiful forest, our new Center Parcs resort – Longford Forest - will welcome 250,000 guests each year, providing the very best facilities and activities. ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Warehouse team oversee and manage orders and deliveries for all areas of the retail operation, and ensure each outlet has the required stock to deliver to our guests. Across the village there will be 6 retail units, 2 own brand and 4 concessions units. Ranging from a supermarket and sweet shop, to children’s toy shop and clothing stores.
We are looking for a Retail Warehouse Supervisor/Team Leader to join our growing team. Initially you will be working with the logistics team where your duties will involve accepting deliveries of loose inventory items into the central buildings, this includes everything from boats to tea spoons! You will also be involved in moving stock around the village and buildings into individual rooms, and controlling access of suppliers and visitors, so flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to help out as required are key requirements.
Once the village is operational you will be responsible for managing the retail warehouse to a high standard of operation and safety, controlling the movement of all stock in and out of the retail department.
From stock control to deliveries, you will ensure the retail team follow Center Parcs brand standards whilst promoting a positive and proactive working environment. This will support the Operational teams in maximising the business potential of the units and delivering a great guest experience. Working within the company nominated supply chain you will be responsible for supporting the Purchase Cycle, ensuing all stock is checked and accounted correctly, invoice procedures are adhered to and effective par levels are in place. You will be responsible for the warehouse, delivery and vending operations.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, along with the ability to lead a small team. Flexibility in approach to work and ability to perform well under pressure are essential.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive your contracted hours per period.
Initially in the pre-opening period, your hours of work will generally be Monday to Friday office hours with flexibility required in line with business needs.
After opening you will also be required to work weekends and public / bank holidays on a rota basis with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
