CYCLE CENTRE MECHANIC | €11.01 per hour

Our Cycle Centre is a thriving hub and key area of activity, as well as being a very busy operation with its own retail shop that’s designed to fulfill the needs of each and every guest…whatever their age.

As a Cycle Centre Mechanic you will work in conjunction with the Cycle Centre management team to ensure the smooth running of the department, providing and maintaining a high standard of service to guests in line with departmental operating procedures.

You will be required to repair and maintain the cycles and equipment which is used for hire to the guests and also the equipment from the cycle centre which is used by staff which ranges from junior cycles to trailers.

You will be accountable for checking the cycle attendant pre-hire safety checks, this includes auditing the pre-hire safety checking system to ensure it is to the required standard.

In addition you will be responsible for completing the opening and closing checklist and carrying out standard checks to ensure the department is kept at a high standard at all times.  


Essential requirements:

  • Good organisation and time-keeping
  • The ability to keep accurate records
  • Excellent team-working skills
  • Ability to cope in pressurised situations due to the busy nature of the cycle centre business

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience working with cycles, either for pleasure or in employment
  • Computer Literacy
  • Cytech Level 2 qualification or equivalent


You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period, on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive your contracted hours per period.

Your working hours will include some weekends, public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
