ABOUT THE ROLE

At Center Parcs all our accommodation has been designed and built to the highest standards, so we need a team to uphold these standards and exceed guest expectation. Our Housekeeping team will be responsible for maintaining more than 460 Lodges, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces. That’s why it’s the largest team on each village.

Reporting to the Accommodation Services & Housekeeping Line Manager, you will have responsibility for managing a large team of circa 60 colleagues ensuring the smooth and efficient running of your division within the wider housekeeping operation.

You will be responsible for providing training and development of all colleagues within the department, ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are achieved along with high standards of service and guest care.

Duties will include:

  • The organisation and allocation of duties to your housekeeping team
  • Supporting the housekeeping cleaning operation, ensuring the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene are achieved and maintained at all times
  • Continually reviewing deployment of colleagues, ensuring that resources are allocated cost effectively and determining staffing levels in line with occupancy and business demand
  • Recruitment, absence and performance management
  • Co-ordinating staff training to meet targets within the division 

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate would have previous supervisory experience within a demanding service driven environment. You should be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills, along with a clear ability to lead and motivate a large team.

Essential requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An organised and methodical approach
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Have a motivational approach towards colleagues and work
  • A good level of computer literacy

Desirable requirements:

  • Budgetary control experience
  • Previous Housekeeping or Facilities Management experience within a service/operational environment

HOURS OF WORK

This is a fixed-term until 30 July 2022.

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period, on a flexible basis. 

Your working hours will include some weekends on a duty rota basis, some public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.
