ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Head Office Development team in the role of Project Manager.

Reporting to the Buildings Asset Manager you will be responsible for planning and delivering an allocated portfolio of capital projects ensuring that projects are delivered within budget, within the relevant timescales and according to operational requirements.  

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as you will regularly liaise with internal stakeholders and generate management information which you will report back to the senior management team.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period (37.5 hours per week).  Normal Head Office working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility will be required as significant business travel and overnight stays are a key requirement of this role.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Qualified to at least HNC level in Construction, Surveying or Civil Engineering
  • Relevant professional qualification, ie. MAPM, CIOB, MRICS or similar
  • Proven experience in Project Management at a senior level with a customer focused outlook to project delivery
  • Extensive knowledge of the procurement of building projects
  • In-depth knowledge of health & safety legislation for build projects
  • Broad expertise in building services
  • Effective negotiator with proven influencing skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with all relevant software, including MS Project and CAD

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of leisure, spa and/or retail fit-out project delivery
