Cycle Centre Assistant Manager

With a fleet of 3,000 cycles, our Cycle Centre is a thriving hub and a key part of the Center Parcs experience. Our dedicated team is responsible for ensuring our cycles and equipment are ready to hire out to our guests twice per week.

CYCLE CENTRE ASSISTANT MANAGER | Circa £30,800 per annum

In this role, you will assist the Cycle Centre Manager with the smooth running of all Cycle Centre facilities, including maintaining and driving the commercial management and control of associated costs.

Other responsibilities will include supporting the Cycle Centre Manager in driving and delivering excellent guest service, achieving all financial targets, managing budgets and delivering agreed performance targets. You will support with facilitating and developing a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this.

The successful candidate will have a friendly and professional manner along with excellent communication skills as they will be required to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues including counter parts on other Villages.

Previous supervisory / managerial experience is essential as you will be responsible for the motivation of the team as well as providing coaching and coordinating any training requirements.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between 6am and 8pm. 

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

Essential requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, develop and challenge a team
  • Friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels

Desirable requirements:

  • CYTEC qualification NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of cycle maintenance
  • Previous experience of leading a team in a service / operational environment
