Set within the beautiful forest environment, the HR team is responsible for the welfare of 1,600 employees, ensuring everyone is given an equal opportunity and that our policies are adhered to.  We support a wide variety of teams across our; Housekeeping, Food Beverage and Retail, Leisure and Administration divisions, offering support and guidance when required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our busy team.  Reporting to the Deputy HR Manager and working alongside a wider HR team of Administrators and Advisors, the role will initially have a focus on Employee Relations and Generalist HR.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact to operational management on all aspects of Employee Relations including discipline, grievance, absence, equality, maternity, and paternity; proactively working with managers to achieve optimal outcomes for both business and individual whilst protecting our nurturing culture
  • Providing advice and support to operational managers on complex issues / projects ensuring quality and consistency is achieved reflective of the Company Values, Brand and Culture

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

Normal working hours will be 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with some weekend and bank holiday working.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

You must be highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside relevant HR experience within a large company.  Experience with the use of Microsoft Office, report generating, and HR / Payroll systems will be necessary.

Alongside your good standard of education and previous HR experience, we are seeking a driven and highly motivated professional with significant experience of providing advice and guidance to managers and staff in the full range of HR issues matched with a good knowledge of employment law.

Essential requirements:

  • Previous HR experience within a similar field including a sound understanding of Employment Legislation and HR practices
  • Qualified to CIPD level 3 as a minimum or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good influencing skills
  • Advanced Microsoft office experience
  • Maths and English to Grade C GCSE level or equivalent
