ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will assist the Head of Department in effectively controlling, coordinating and planning the activities of the unit laid down in the brand manual. To maintain high guest satisfaction levels through service and value for money (Caring Behaviour) and to achieve budgeted financial targets (Up Selling Techniques). To maximise on the business potential of the department through the development of highly skilled staff.

Other responsibilities will include helping to lead, motivate and develop the team. This is a hands-on management role, where you will play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the operation, including taking orders, serving food and ensuring the team deliver excellent service to every guest.

Essentially, you will have previous experience as an Assistant Manager / Supervisor within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. You will be a highly motivated individual, committed to the success of the operation.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each 4 week period.

You will be required to work a variety of shifts including daytime, evening and weekend. You will also be required to work public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • 3 years Catering/Bar Management experience of which:
    2 years at Supervisory level and 1 year as an Assistant Manager in a high volume restaurant/bar environment
  • Food hygiene qualification

Desirable requirements:

  • Formal Catering Qualification an advantage – BTEC/Degree
  • Experience of event management
