ABOUT THE ROLE

We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our team in the Leisure Bowl, on a fixed term basis. The Leisure Bowl is a busy vibrant bar serving hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day alongside ten pin bowling and child and adult discos in the evening.

In this role, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in effectively controlling, co-ordinating and planning the unit activities in line with Company standards. You will maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through service and value for money to achieve budgeted financial targets. 

Other responsibilities will include helping to lead, motivate and develop the team. This is a hands-on management role, where you will play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the operation, including taking orders, serving food and ensuring the team deliver excellent service to every guest. 

Ideally, you will have previous experience as an Assistant Manager / Supervisor within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. You will be a highly motivated individual, committed to the success of the operation. 

HOURS OF WORK 

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible, fixed term basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each 4 week period. 

You will need to be flexible to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends and some public/bank holidays.

ABOUT YOU 

Essential requirements: 

  • Experience of working in the hospitality industry or in a similar guest facing position at a supervisory level
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to coach others to achieve objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with and resolve guest issues
  • The ability to work well under pressure and “think on your feet” 

Desirable requirements:  

  • Previous experience working in a similar environment
  • A food hygiene qualification
