EVENTS MANAGER |Circa £38,400 per annum plus 12% bonus

Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, this is a fantastic new opportunity, where you will be responsible for leading and implementing the village seasonal event programme and other ad-hoc events.

You will be accountable for the performance of the village events programme consisting of; Winter Wonderland, Christmas, New Year and Winter Forest Lights, ensuring that the guest experience is seamless and general standards are monitored and maintained. This will involve working closely with the village and Head Office Seasonal team regarding innovation and creative thinking to evolve the seasonal offering.

You will lead the Village Marketing Executive, together ensuring brand standards are maintained and that marketing materials and assets are meeting objectives from a guest and village perspective.

As a member of the wider village management team, you will actively contribute towards the delivery of the village operation, including managing the village event calendar and providing support during critical incidents.

This is a hands-on Management role, where you will play an integral part in the day-to-day running of village events.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis, this means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate needs to be proactive with a positive can-do attitude. You’ll have high standards when it comes to guest experience, understand brand standards and take ownership and pride in your work.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of developing and managing internal and external partnerships in the delivery of events
  • Excellent communication skills both written and orally
  • Self-led with an ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • An organised and methodical approach
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • A motivational approach towards colleagues and work
  • Computer literate

Desirable requirements:

  • Skilled project management experience
  • Experience in planning or leading successful events
