The dedicated team provide a speedy response to any service breakdown while delivering excellent care, so our guests can relax knowing they’re being taken care of. 

PAINTER / DECORATOR | £14.87 per hour 

In this role, you will undertake planned decoration to accommodation lodges and central building facilities, with the flexibility to fulfil the reactive decorating work orders on a daily basis. This role will be fully integrated within the maintenance team ensuring guest standards are constantly improved.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking planned painting, working to an agreed programme of works within accommodation units on changeover days
  • Ensuring works are sequenced to allow surfaces to be suitably dry for arriving guests to use the accommodation
  • Working within and as part of the Technical Services Maintenance team, working closely with the Accommodation Services teams
  • Working within central facilities out of trading hours, with flexibility to work early mornings or night shifts, depending on the requirements of the trading units
  • Completing reactive work orders in the allotted time scale for each set of works

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills as you will regularly come into contact with both colleagues and guests. Trade experience is essential as technical knowledge will be required.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Painting & Decorating (6707-33) or equivalent working experience
  • Qualified and experienced in erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms
  • Proven ability to complete works to a high standard
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Current full UK Driving Licence

You will also require experience in the following skills:-

  • Applying hangings to walls and ceilings
  • Producing specialist architectural finishes for decorative work
  • Preparing surfaces for decoration
  • Applying paint systems by brush and roller
  • Applying and creating colour

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience in a dynamic organisation
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Qualified and experienced in the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP)
