We’re a thriving team passionate about working together to deliver excellence, all in a natural forest environment.

Welcome to Center Parcs – the number one choice for short break holidays, employing a team of over 9,000 across Head Office and six separate villages located in the UK and Ireland.

Supporting a large team of HR professionals, you’ll primarily focus on the provision of practical and effective employment law and employee relations (ER) advice to the business.

You will be responsible for managing any escalated ER issues and dealing with claims including liaising with ACAS and the Employment Tribunals.

You will work to protect the business from any employment based risks, including ‘Right to Work’, Data Protection, Safeguarding and Background Checking.

This is a great opportunity for a HR professional looking to further their specialist experience within a corporate function.  You will be exposed to large scale business projects and senior stakeholders within the organisation and therefore excellent interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to influence across all levels of the business.

Previous experience in an ER role with experience of end to end case management is essential.

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week).  Normal Head Office working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however occasional flexibility may be required.  The role will also include travel to Center Parcs village locations from time to time.

Due to current government guidelines, you will temporarily be required to work from home.

We are looking for an experienced HR professional, with a recent background in a similar fast paced corporate environment, who can make an immediate impact and demonstrate the following:

Essential skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Current in-depth knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the business
  • Previous experience in an ER role with experience of end-to end case management
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to make decisions in difficult, ambiguous or technically difficult situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in an ER role with experience of end-to end case management
  • Experience of supporting teams with preparing reports and investigation planning
  • Ability to remain calm in pressured/critical situations

Desirable skills and experience

  • A recognised Employment Law qualification

Center Parcs is a fantastic place to work and the benefits are as impressive as they are unique. Here are just a few:

  • Staff bonus scheme

  • Free use of on-site leisure facilities
  • Discounted Center Parcs breaks
  • 20% discount in restaurant and retail outlets
  • An employee assistance programme providing support on financial, health and legal matters
