ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting new opportunity to join our central Learning & Development team (L&D) as Digital Learning Manager.

As Digital Learning Manager, you will manage a learning management system that excites and engages our 10,000-people spread across our different divisions (Housekeeping, Leisure, Retail, Technical Services, Admin and General and Food and Beverage); located at Head Office or one of our six stunning villages nestled in the middle of the forest.

We are looking for someone with experience of digital learning management systems to continue to develop, evaluate and manage our new eLearning system.

Our new eLearning platform supports a variety of training activities including induction, management development, health and safety and technical and professional training.

At Center Parcs we are family.  Working with the wider L&D Team and internal stakeholders you will provide our people with access to engaging legal, technical and behavioural eLearning material that ensures they are legally compliant and that they are able to go above and beyond for our guests and each other.

In this role, you will be passionate about data; producing management information to enable you to measure and evaluate eLearning activity, to help us to strive to do things better and to celebrate what we do well.

We are looking for someone who can talk and act like a real person, who can put themselves into the shoes of our people and design, edit and source online learning solutions that is welcoming to a diverse audience, for example, housekeepers, lifeguards, administrators, beauty therapists, technicians and managers.

This role is suited to an individual who has experience within digital learning; designing digital learning material and measuring eLearning activity: someone who is passionate about continuous development and improvements.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week).  Normal Head Office working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however occasional flexibility will be required. 

Please note that due to the current situation regarding Covid-19, you will temporarily be required to work remotely from home, thereafter it is expected you will be working from Head Office typically 3 days a week.  Head Office is based in New Ollerton, Nottinghamshire.

ABOUT YOU

Essential skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement: ability to work with others to design job specific online eLearning solutions
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data including good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience of administering and maintaining a Learning Management System
  • The ability to manage own workload and to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Strong written skills and the ability to write material to meet the needs of the audience
  • Experience in designing eLearning solutions using content management software

Additional experience, qualifications or skills that would certainly add value to your application:

  • Experience of working within a retail or hospitality environment
  • CIPD Level 3 Learning and Development qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of using HTML, JavaScript and CSS in the context of both eLearning and web design
  • Experience of using the Adapt Builder content authoring tool
  • Knowledge and experience of a Totara LMS platform
  • Competent user of authorising and publishing software i.e Adobe Creative Suite or another media production tool
