We are looking to recruit an Assistant Retail Services Manager with leadership, drive and a commitment to deliver service excellence on a fixed-term basis.

In conjunction with the Retail Services Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Village Retail operation including management of the retail team to deliver budgeted financial targets, service targets and operational standards.  You will also ensure compliance to department operational procedures, company policies, and relevant legislation.

You will also be required to assist in supporting other areas of the business as required, which will include Duty Village Manager shifts on a rota’d basis.


Please note this is a fixed-term contract until May 2019.

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

Your hours of work will fall between 6am and 9:30pm and will include evening shifts, weekends and some public / bank holidays on a rota basis.


Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 months supervisory experience within a Retail setting
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and coach others to deliver objectives
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade C or above
  • Internal candidates should have achieved or be working towards Aspire at certificate level

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of retail merchandising gained in a food environment
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience of retail EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) / Stock control systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Basic Food Hygiene Qualification
