The Events team focus on delivering the highest levels of guest satisfaction through service and value for money for both our corporate and leisure events.  We offer a themed and seasonal programme of entertainment for our guests, conferences and seminars for external clients and internal corporate and social events for our colleagues.


We are looking for Events Waiting Staff / Hosts who are dedicated to delivering excellent service to our guests.  As part of the team you will be expected to welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.

You will be responsible for the setting of the conference and event facilities to the agreed specification, movement, handling and setting of all equipment from banquet tables and staging to audio visual equipment and cutlery/crockery as well as regularly deal with bar stock control, rotation and wastage.

The successful individual will need to gain full knowledge of all Venue equipment, set up's, packages, menus and prices.


Please note this is a fixed-term contract until January 2020.

You will be contracted to work 64 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis.  This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

With a variety of events to cover, the nature of this role involves early starts and late finishes including some weekends and public / bank holidays on a rota basis.


Essential requirements:

  • 1 years catering / bar / events experience in a team member role, preferably within a large events facility either in event set up (including equipment and technical aspects) or event delivery
  • Have a passion for delivering great service to our clients every day, and strive to continuously evolve and enhance the operation
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and “think on your feet”
