Back of House Operations Manager

Around each Village, the Food and Beverage department employs around 350 team members across nine different restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as a production kitchen. There’s also a further five concessionary units including well-known brands such as Bella Italia and Café Rouge. From American grills to authentic Indian cuisine, or for those wanting a relaxing drink after a busy day, there’s something to suit all appetites at Center Parcs.

BACK OF HOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Food and Beverage Senior Management team.

As Back of House Operations Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all Center Parcs units operate within CODE standards and you’ll provide both operational and management support for all units in terms of leadership, people development and achievement of department performance indicators.

You’ll take responsibility for and ensure compliant, efficient running of all Center Parcs kitchens, stores and food & beverage back of house areas.

You’ll also manage all legislation via auditing (covering food hygiene, health & safety, cleanliness, food policies and kitchen equipment) and assume overall responsibility for all departmental Health and Safety including Food Safety.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period, working on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive your contracted hours each 4 week period. 

Shifts are straight and will typically fall between the hours of 8am and 12 midnight.  Your working hours will include weekends and some public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of working in a multi outlet operation with annual food turnover in excess of £5 million
  • Proven skills in co-ordinating high volume kitchen operations, including conference and banqueting facilities
  • Proven track record in leading a team, including strong influencing skills
  • A formal cooking qualification e.g. City & Guilds 406/3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Desirable requirements:

  • Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Basic Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience of working alongside concession and licensee operations
